Early Childhood Development

Our program targets local new mothers and educates them on key subjects like child nutrition, vaccination, and family planning.

Participants are also introduced to other programs at the centre where they can continue training and learn more about health, literacy, and safety.

Promoting Child Health and Nutrition

Across Kenya, too many children suffer from malnutrition and early mortality.

Our program provides new mothers with the support they need to nurture their newborns.

At the end of every year, we hold an Early Childhood Development Day at the LCRC for new mothers.

The event provides a space for mothers to meet with health professionals and seek much-needed advice. This opportunity helps many women develop a closer relationship with a doctor and let go of fears around the medical system.

For the event, we partner with government departments of education, health and security, as well as the police force and local early childhood educators.
